Photography is a ever evolving industry, new technology and creativity blend together to keep us always learning something new. I don’t think I’ll ever be sick of learning, in fact, it’s a huge part of my business and most creatives will say the same. I was so grateful to have the opportunity to attend a kick ass workshop this December called The Defiant Workshop 2.0. It’s hosted by Victoria Black of www.wildheartscollective.com and Brittany Menze of www.menzevisuals.com. These two wicked woman put on an epic day of knowledge and hands on shooting! Plus a fabulous long table dinner, and the best conversations a creative photog could have.
Victoria started off our day with a ton of information on how she runs her business, client interaction, and the importance of giving your clients the best possible experience. I soaked so much of this in, and for those of you reading this, who are or may be a client of mine one day, you can thank her for some of the stuff that’s coming in the new year!
Our shoot location was on top of a tall parkade downtown Vancouver B.C. The rotating restaurant peeked over us as we spent 3 hours with two amazing couples just listening to great music, and dancing around with so much laughter my face legit hurt by the end of the day.
Brittany took us into workflow, and how to get more time out of our day, in turn, also creating a great experience for your clients. I left this workshop feeling so energized and ready to take on the new year, implement some new ideas, and start creating more epic images.
